Risking Fate is Tyler & Miranda’s story and OMG is it emotional. I first read this one 1/16/13-1/18/13 and rereading it brought back all the reasons I loved it in the first place. The emotional heartache that Tyler & Miranda were put through hurt like I was living in the story. There were many happy times too but when those plot twists hit, they really get to you & you feel like you have to read fast to get to a happy place again. Tyler will always be my favorite Mitchell and his love for his family plus his humor is the reason why. OMG the things that come out of his mouth are insanely hilarious! I laughed out loud many times. Once again, I can’t say enough about how much I love this series. If you like hot cowboys & emotional twists, you need to check out this series.Product details

This book had me go through every single emotion in the english dictionary!! Wow, what a read and I am exhausted after staying up until four this morning because I just couldn't put the book down!
I love the Mitchell family, even though they seem to be a family that goes through extra drama then most! This is the fourth book, and it is a continuation of Ty and Miranda's story. Ty has totally redeemed himself in my eyes, and I love how he has gone from a playboy slut to a dedicated husband and father. He loves his wife and little Izzy so much that it is almost sickening!!! I love it though, and it totally melts my heart when he talks about how much his worships his "two girls." This story brings us Miranda and Ty finding out that they are going to be parents again. Of course Ty is through the roof estatic, and when he finds out she is having twins he becomes extremely happy. Let us not forget the fact that he has to go around and brag to everyone how his "super sperm" is so strong that he made two babies with it not just one!!! Of course, the smooth happy road can only last so long in the Mitchell family; and the mood of the story takes a turn when Miranda bumps into someone from her past who is going to stir up trouble. Seeing Ty react to his wife and daughter's happiness being threatened, was unbelievable. He was unconsolable and that is when the depth of his love for his family is truly revealed. My heart was breaking right along with his, and his desperation to make everything better was amazing. There was no limit to what Ty would do to make sure his wife and daughter would not be hurt by anyone. This situation very quickly spirals out of control and different things happen, and lies are told to protect Miranda from becoming to upset. Unfortunately, when the lies are found out devastation quickly follows and things blow even more out of control. This book has no shortage of drama and gut wrenching emotion. There are times I cried, got angry, frustrated, and even times where I laughed. The sex in this book is once again hot and steamy! Miranda and Ty have unbelievable chemistry that is off the charts, and it is a pleasant addition to a very emotional book.
If you haven't become aquainted with the Mitchell family, and you love books that take you on a journey of all kinds of emotions, then you don't want to miss out on this dynamic family! They truly are wonderful and at the end of the day, they all look out for one another and the love is just so deep. The Mitchell family has loyalty that keep this family tight together, and they are just so fun to read about! Next up is Connor and Amy's story and I can hardly wait to see what is in store for these two.
I loved how RISKING FATE starts out Ty and Miranda in their little cocooned world of love, family, and pregnancy. Ty is truly in his orbit at this point and then finding out they are to have twin boys moves his happiness into the stratosphere. Ty's outspoken thoughts about his 'super sperm' bring more than a chuckle out me......it's just so 'Ty'. This reader wondered what the heck could happen to mar such utter content in the Ty Mitchell marriage.
Enter Heather, that low-life skank. Yup; the same one that tormented Savannah back in the day when she bedded the unfaithful Ty (when the series started - Book One - and Ty was Savannah's boyfriend). I think we readers do try and find something redeemable in each character but Heather doesn't seem to have anything left to redeem. She's hit an all-time-low in this book in what she does to Ty and Miranda's marriage. Heather's antics in procuring those photos....REALLY? It is downright criminal and sadly Heather cannot be prosecuted because of what Ty had to involve her in. Ultimately, there is a decent outcome in what happens but getting to that point is a slow-drip-of-torture for we readers. This reader had to eat several Hershey's Kisses just to get through fifty pages of upset, discord, heartache, worry, and then a bit of heartbreak. Good thing I didn't have a paper book because I might have ripped those pages out and burned them.....I kid you not.
The panic written for Ty and Miranda in what they are faced with losing is so realistic and painful. Ty completely loses it and cries a river of tears for the daughter ('Izzy') he wants to share with no other father. I think Miranda's up and downs in her feelings and panic are true to a woman in the advanced stages of being pregnant with twins. She most definitely was over the top with terror when she practically forces Ty to confront Heather and at almost any cost (save sleeping with the wicked witch/skank). Ty really had no choice. He hated what he had to do and couldn't even bring himself to kiss the evil skanky Heather. Go Ty!! What Heather does .... to get even however, BAD!
The fallout is horrendous. It becomes a snowball going down a hill and getting huge; leaving us readers to wonder how big the damage could be once it stopped. Well; the damage is beyond huge. Our dear authoress writes the fallout in a way that makes us wonder who lives and dies. Yet another six Hershey Kisses gave up their lives in the reading of this section of the book (they're frozen and last a long time in my mouth.....a person has to manage somehow...). Thankfully; things work out and this is not to say that Ty and Miranda will have an easy ride once they leave the hospital. They do have some serious repair work to do in their relationship and trust; mainly Miranda trusting in Ty's commitment to their marriage and his being faithful only to her. I do think Miranda had some serious issues with Ty being willing to involve Heather (the skank) in what he needed to do to get the threat of losing his daughter (actually losing his status as the child's only father). The other thing is that Ty kept it secret what he was doing to keep his daughter and should have been up-front and open about it to Miranda - before doing what he did. We readers also 'get' Ty's side of the issue and his very real fears about what he could lose. Not to say that Miranda didn't take part in some aspects of the 'Heather Fiasco'. Then there is the extreme decision she makes which leads to the accident that might have cost her (and her babies) their lives. Perhaps the choices Ty and Miranda make might be blamed on youth and lack of experience and even the ultimate but very real existence of pregnancy hormones.......
Finally; things do resolve and they work towards the trusting elements. Will their marriage ultimately be stronger for all the pain they had to go through? This reader has to hope that the marriage becomes fortress-strong, but such a thing might take months, maybe years. By the end of RISKING FATE, Ty and Miranda are back on a steady ground and mired in the family love they share with all three of their children. It's real. It's gritty. It has it's ups, downs, and those 'betweens' that we all have in our lives. At the end of the day it's just plain warm and fuzzy. One good thing that comes along with this whole mess is a better bond forming between Conner and Ty. More like family in every sense of the word. Conner is gearing up for his story which comes out in Book Five WANTING MORE. This reader hasn't read it yet and I'm dearly savoring the anticipation........
The one last thought I have about RISKING FATE is that Ty has what I'd call a 'Magnificent Obsession' for the woman he chooses to spend his entire life loving. Yes.....me saying this is so cliche.....and no truer thoughts have ever come out of my romance loving mind.
